Panasonic "Let's Note" Notebooks to feature a Core i7

The Panasonic Let's Note R9 series (CF-R9JWACDR notebook) will feature an Intel Core i7-620 UM vPro (1.06 GHz) CPU in a body measuring 229×187×29.4 that weighs around 0.93kg, the R series notebooks are also equipped with 2 GB (up to 4GB) of DDR3 SDRAM, 250 GB (Serial ATA) of HDD, 10.4-inch (1024 x 768) XGA TFT Color LCD, Intel QM57 Express Chipset (graphics card included), USB 2.0 x 2, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, Type 2 PC card slot, SD/ SDHC card slot , Mini D-Sub 15 pin and runs on either Windows 7 Professional 32bit or 64bit.


Other upgrades include: Core i7-640 UM (1.20GHz, up to 2.26 GHz), 500GB HDD, Bluetooth built-in, 128GB SSD, selection of 12 color options, and you can get your name tag installed under the notebook if you purchase from their online shopping site “Club Panasonic Mylet”.

Mouse Computer's new m-Book P Series packs a GeForce GTS160M

The latest m-Book P Series from Mouse Computer comes equipped with a Core 2 Duo T9600, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB of HDD, Blu-ray burner, a 15.4-inch LCD with a WSXGA+ resolution and a GeForce GTS160M with 1GB of VRAM.

This laptop is only available in Japan starting at 129,780 - 159,600 Yen (967 - 1,189 Euro / US$1,375 - US$1,692).

Dospora announces Prime Note Chronos MG notebook

The Primie Note Chronos MG, features a Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, a 15.6-inch WXGA LCD with a 1366x768 resolution, a GM45 Express Chipset, 2GB of RAM, 320GB of HDD, a Blu-Ray drive and DVD Burner, HDMI out, and offer 4.2hrs of battery lifespan with a total weight of 2.7kg. The Dospora Prime Note Chronos MG can be purchased for 99,000 Yen (732 Euro / US$1,048). Also, note that this notebook is only available in Japan.

NEW Hello Kitty Notebook from Epson and Sanrio

This Limited Edition Hello Kitty notebook is based on the Endeavor NJ2150, ands will come equipped with either a Celeron 900 (2.2GHz), 1GB of RAM, 80GB of HDD or a Core 2 Duo P8700, with 2GB of RAM and 160GB of HDD. Both configurations feature a 15.4” LCD with a 1280x800 resolution and a DVD Super Multi. And you get a custom lid, as well.

No word on a price or release date, yet. Obviously, these will only be sold in Japan, though.

2 MSI notebooks with "Turbo Drive" technology

The GX623 and GX633 will both come with a 15.4-inch display, MSI's ECO Engine (which will let you easily switch between a gaming mode and more energy efficient mode), up to 4GB of RAM, a max 500GB HDD, 802.11n WiFi, built-in Bluetooth and a 2Mpx webcam. The GX623 will feature a Core 2 Duo processor with the ATI Radeon HD4670 graphics card and the GX633 will feature an AMD X2 Turion Ultra processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M graphics card.

The "Turbo Drive" Technology is an MSI exclusive that "just by touching the turbo button above the keyboard, you can simultaneously increase the speed of your CPU, also the computer may run smoother and to the best of its abilities."
